D&J Medical, accredited provider of custom prosthetic and orthotic devices, compression therapy, and lymphedema products, announces its acquisition of accredited provider Maryland Orthotics & Prosthetics. The acquisition expands D&J Medical’s regional coverage, while sustaining the outstanding patient care for which both companies are known. The combined companies will now accept virtually all Maryland Insurance plans. The acquisition took place on June 30, 2016.
Founded by Joe and June Dunn in 2001, D&J Medical, accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC) and Medicare-Certified provides patients with custom orthoses, upper and lower extremity prostheses, compression therapy and lymphedema products. The company has five offices throughout the region: Forest Hill, Towson (2), Baltimore City and Columbia.
Maryland Orthotics & Prosthetics, accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC) and Medicare-Certified, was founded in 1981 by Lee and Ann Mantelmacher and includes three Maryland offices: Baltimore, Bel Air and Westminster. All three offices will join D&J Medical. As a result of the acquisition, Maryland Orthotics & Prosthetics will continue to offer their patients high quality orthotics and prosthetics as well as compression therapy and lymphedema products.
