In the world of compression therapy and lymphedema, Jennifer Hunt is an expert in the field. With over 11 years of experience, her product knowledge and fitting techniques are innovative and cutting edge. Servicing the Annapolis, Washington D.C., Howard County, Montgomery County, and Virginia area, Jen works closely with the patients, therapists, and physicians to create proper compression therapy treatment plans that will improve their quality of life.
Sitting down with Jen, it is obvious how passionate she is about her work. She takes great pride in the fact that she is able to help people regain their independence, health, and general well-being. In the ever-growing field of compression, she understands how continuous education and training on evolving products and techniques equal improvement of patient compliance, fewer alterations, and higher quality outcomes. At every opportunity, Jen tries to pass along what she has learned so that the person can continue to succeed on their own. Her patient care and accuracy in measuring and fitting compression garments has afforded her the opportunity and privilege to have worked with many of the same patients and therapists for many years. When asked to choose which part of the job she enjoys most, she replied: “Helping patients regain their quality of life and to live without limits. There is nothing more rewarding.”
Born in Baltimore, Jen was raised in a big Italian family. She enjoyed outdoor activities such as rollerblading, swimming, and field hockey. Now a mother of three, she is proud to watch her children succeed in their respective fields with the same drive and passion that she has instilled in them. Jen’s oldest son is a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, her middle son has just completed his degree in aviation, and her daughter is entering college with a focus on biomedicine. She now enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle, participating in various fitness activities such as biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, and hiking. Jen also enjoys traveling and participating in local events that raise awareness of lymphedema and compression therapy, such as Race for the Cure.
With an emphasis on patient care and education, Jen is passionate about making sure that people regain their sense of independence and quality of life with the use of lymphedema compression garments.
