The Providence Nocturnal Scoliosis®

The Providence Nocturnal Scoliosis® System has been successful in treating all curve types: lumbar, thoracic, double major, and thoracolumbar. Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis. This orthosis is suited for neurologically involved patients, idiopathic adolescents and juvenile scoliosis patients as well as obese patients. Because of the nocturnal design, it is able to address an apex of T6, which is higher than can be treated by a full-time scoliosis orthosis. Apices above T6 can be treated with a neck extension attached to the orthosis. The Providence® is designed to be worn with the patient supine. Current x-rays are necessary to confirm and provide a positive outcome.

Because of the nocturnal use of the orthosis, the curves can be treated more aggressively and better patient compliance is achieved. A cast or scan of a patient is required if the patient is unable to be measured using the Providence board or if a board is not available. Spinal Technology, is the exclusive manufacturer of the Providence Nocturnal Scoliosis® Orthosis.

Spinal Indications
• Lumbar Curves
• Thoracic Curves
• Double Major Curves
• Thoracolumbar Curves

Features
• Brace is fabricated using the patented Providence® measuring board and CAD/CAM technology. The combination of the two ensures consistent and precise fabrication of this orthosis.
• Hyper-correction.
• Increased patient compliance.
• Nocturnal Orthosis.

SCT 3D Full-Time Scoliosis Brace

Our SCT 3D Full-Time Scoliosis Orthosis is designed using CAD/CAM technology. This orthosis provides a brace design that corrects the spine based on three body planes, the Sagittal, Coronal and Transverse (SCT) and provides a precise combination of lateral and rotational forces that move the spine into a corrected position.

This design allows for lateral shift of the curves to midline and provides relief/void areas on opposing sides of the scoliosis curve from both rotational and lateral forces. Using CAD/CAM technology allows for precise fabrication to maximize spinal correction that can be measured to the exact millimeter.

Spinal Indications
• Idiopathic Scoliosis
• Lumbar Curves
• Thoracic Curves
• Double Major Curves
• Thoracolumbar Curves Features
• Computer enhanced modification via CAD/CAM technology.
• Each design is customized to patient’s shape and curve pattern.
• Provides the ability to control the angles of the Sagittal plane regarding lumbar lordosis.
• Two relief window sizes available.

Kyphologic Brace

The Kyphologic style w/ Anterior opening & “Cow Horns” that attach laterally and allows for a corrective force at the apex of kyphosis. The brace is used to correct Kyphosis and stabilize adult patients.

Spinal Indications

  • Mild Structural Kyphosis
  • Scheuermann’s Kyphosis
  • Postural Stabilization

Features

  • The trims are designed to allow hips & scapulae to be relieved of pressure, to move more freely and is easier to conceal under clothing.
  • “Cow Horns” allow for adjustment of height, & pivot for more extension force.

  • Scheuermann’s Kyphosis
  • Postural Stabilization

TLSO Flex Foam® 2 & 3

(Thoracic Lumbar Sacral Orthosis) Anterior Opening with Tongue

The Flex Foam® 2 TLSO orthosis has the plastic frame internally, within the foam, instead of externally. This orthosis design is fabricated with the frame sandwiched between a soft foam inner liner and firm foam outer liner. The inner frame can be fabricated with any desired plastic type and thickness for desired rigidity.

There are multiple opening and frame designs available.

The Flex Foam® 3 TLSO design, is a soft but firm foam construction with no frame, for a lightweight less rigid support orthosis.

Spinal Indications

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Scoliotic Deformities
  • Osteoporosis
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Myelomeningocele
  • Cancer Patients
  • Spinal Muscle Atrophy
  • Spinal Trauma

Features

  • The Flex Foam® design works well with both the geriatric and pediatric population.
  • Frame covered by foam.
  • Lightweight
  • Increased comfort for patients.
